Dr. Jan BeauregardJan Beauregard Ph.D.:

Dr. Jan Beauregard received her M.S. degree from Syracuse University in 1986 and her Ph.D. in Counseling from George Mason University in 2001. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia, a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist.

Dr. Beauregard has more than twenty years combined experience as an educator/counselor and specializes in adolescent/adult addiction, trauma, compulsive behavior and recovery issues. Her specialties include: relapse prevention and alcohol education, PTSD, self harming behaviors, eating disorders, sexual anorexia, codependency and sexual addiction.

Dr. Beauregard has specialty training in addiction from Patrick Carnes, Pia Mellody and Claudia Black, Ph.D., competency based family therapy training from the Family Therapy Practice Center in Washington, D.C., hypnosis and imagery education from the Center for Healing and Imagery, Gestalt Therapy from the Gestalt Therapy Center of Washington, DC and advanced training in EMDR from the EMDRIA Institute. She was also trained as a Sensorimotor Psychotherapy therapist by Pat Ogden and Janina Fisher.

Recently she was trained in Trauma Sensitive Yoga techniques at the Justice Institute training in Boston. Her recent clinical focus has been to incorporate the latest findings from neurobiology and psychophysiology into her work with trauma survivors to make trauma therapy safer while also fostering increased body-mind integration.

Additionally, Dr. Beauregard conducts consultation groups for therapists interested in developing their expertise in working with adolescents or those interested in developing a professional competence in trauma work. She is available for clinical supervision for therapists seeking LPC licensure or supervision hours towards the CSAC. She is an active member of the APA, NVLPC, NAADAC, EMDRIA, AAUW and HRC.

Eileen Long­FariasEileen Long‑Farias, M.S., LPC:

Eileen Long‑Farias, LPC received her Master's in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD in 1996. She has received specific training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Oriented Brief Therapy and Guided Imagery. Presently she is working towards EMDR certification.   

Eileen's clinical population includes both adults and adolescents. Prior to joining the Integrative Psychotherapy Institute, she worked for many years at an inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital in Northern Virginia. Eileen was also a teen program director for the Foreign Service Youth Foundation for 10 years. As a former Foreign Service kid herself, she understands the difficulties and the joys that one experiences growing up overseas. She also has expertise in working with intercultural issues that children and families face either by being in a bicultural family or adjusting to a new culture. Eileen shares her time between the Institute and the Pentagon in Arlington, VA where she serves a clinical population coping with post 9/11 issues.   Additionally, she provides mental health support and training for civilians being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

At the Institute, Eileen's uses her expertise in helping teens and adults struggling with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, addiction, self‑mutilation, traumatic reactions, ADD and personal growth.  Eileen also leads and facilitates workshops and groups. Lesley Persily

Lesley Persily, M.Ed., LPC

Lesley is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia and an EMDR-certified therapist. She received her Masters of Education in Counseling and Development from George Mason University in 2006. Since then, Lesley has worked as a Mental Health Therapist for Fairfax County’s Office for Women & Domestic and Sexual Violence Services
providing counseling to adult, adolescent, and child survivors of sexual assault/abuse and intimate partner violence. She completed her graduate internship at a substance abuse treatment facility for women.

In addition to utilizing advanced training in EMDR and other trauma- focused psychotherapies, Lesley strives to incorporate the latest findings from neurobiology and brain research into her work. She focuses on building a strong, therapeutic alliance with clients, working collaboratively to develop the goals they want to achieve in therapy and using client feedback to improve outcomes. She also has expertise in Solution Oriented Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, including the use of mindfulness practices, and is a qualified user of the Myers Briggs Type Inventory.

Additional areas of focus for Lesley include depression, anxiety, addiction, and career counseling. She has experience working with clients around life transitions, including adolescents and young adults making the transition to college or the workforce; families dealing with parenting challenges, including step and blended family issues; and clients making care decisions for older parents. Lesley has a special interest in health issues, including helping clients cope with chronic illness and better advocate for themselves with medical professionals and health care systems.Prior to becoming a therapist, Lesley earned a Masters of Arts in Women’s Studies and Public Policy from George Washington University and worked for over 20 years in the public policy arena as a congressional staffer, legislative representative, and president of a nonprofit organization.

Brynnan Reddy

Brynnan Reddy, M.A., NCC
Counselor in Residence

Brynnan Reddy, M.A., NCC, received her Master’s in Community Counseling from Marymount University in 2010. She is recognized as a National Certified Counselor by the National Board of Certified Counselors and is currently completing her residency to obtain certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia.

Brynnan’s clinical population includes adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, eating disorders, impulse control disorders, OCD, LGBT issues, relationship difficulties, transitional concerns, family conflict, grief and loss, domestic violence, trauma, and PTSD.

Brynnan also provides career and life path counseling to adolescents and adults. These services include career and personality assessments and inventories, resume review, interviewing assistance, college application guidance, and school and career exploration.

Brynnan completed her undergraduate studies at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, where she received a BA in psychology with a minor in music. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Northern Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors, Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society, and the National Board of Certified Counselors.
